Charles Spencer talks about his debut as a military historian with this enthralling story of the Battle of Blenheim which coincides with its three hundredth anniversary. Two men save Europe from French military domination: The Duke of Marlborough (to whom the Spencer-Churchills are directly linked) and Prince Eugene of Savoy. When rival armies clashed in August 1704 the previously undefeated French were destroyed - a major turning point in European history.
