This diary lies at the heart of Claire Tomalin's new biography, in which she explores his inner life, relations with women, fears and ambitions, political shifts, agonies and delights. Claire Tomalin has written five highly acclaimed biographies including, most recently, Jane Austen: A Life. She will talk about her work and answer questions.
