One of the most popular and well-loved Manga writers talks about his work and its reflection on Japan's society from the 60s to today. Tetsuya Chiba, along with his colleague Osamu Tezuka and others created the golden age of Manga after the war. His numerous comics, with their underlining message, have been extremely popular with people both young and old. Chiba was recently given the Shiju Award (Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon) in 2002.
