Following the success of ETO's annual visit, The Marlowe is delighted to be hosting their Summer School, culminating in a performance of Puccini's Edgar. In this dramatic tale of two women's rivalry in love, Tigrana, a shameless temptress reminiscent of Bizet's Carmen, lures Edgar away from his sweetheart Fidelia. Disguise, deception and disruption follow. The performance is the highlight of a week's rehearsal with ETO's artistic team and features professional singers as well as 50 local people and will be piano-accompanied.
