Perpetua was a winner of the Verity Bargate Award and was produced by Birmingham Rep in May 1999. Currently teaching playwriting at University of Birmingham he takes time in his workshop to help participants discover new source material and to learn from contemporary writers how to fix and twist in time and space. This will involve both practical exercises and analysis of extracts from several plays observing 'rules' and effects derived from breaking them.
