This multidisciplinary workshop aims to give participants an introduction to some of the techniques used by The Paper Cinema. Participants will learn the basics of designing puppets, narrative and storyboarding, puppet manipulation and performance, making their own piece in groups during the course of the session. At the end of the session, there will be a Q&A with the artists, discussing the fine points of the process. This course is for anyone interested in learning more about this unique approach to making and performing live animation. All levels of experience welcome.
