2002 marks the 80th Anniversary of the founding of Pinner and Hatch End Operatic Society. It all started in 1922, when Frederick J. Jenkins wrote a letter which was duly published in the then Harrow Observer and Gazette, regretting the absence of a body to co-ordinate the many musical talents in the district and inviting a response from those interested.
