For this UK premiere, the entire company of 11 dancers - five women and six men - performs a series of heart-racing bulerías, tangos, zapateado, jaleos and martinets, in a virtuosic display of traditional flamenco with a distinctly 21st Century edge. The evening ranges from the solo pieces Mil Besos, a vibrant example of thunderous fast footwork by Rodriguez, to Playas del Alma which involves the entire Company united in synchronised steps, to duets between couples, and pieces performed by the five women of the Company, costumed in rich traditional dress.
