An East End bus garage in 1977. The era when punk rock began. An eighteen year old on his first day at work encounters the tangled web of other people's lives through the rich texture of the interlocking stories of his co-workers. His own coming-of-age is a journey through cruelty and laughter, sexual intrigue, racism, bullying, homophobia, the closed shop and trade unions.
