Light archiveWittily bleak, elegant and shocking, this story based on a novel by Swedish writer Torgny Lindgren is a parable of humanity's struggle towards civilisation. In a deserted village three men, three women, some farm animals and countless rabbits are the only survivors after a plague. But none of them can remember how things are supposed to be, or understands the difference between right and wrong anymore. When a stranger passes through, leaving behind him his own values and judgements, how can they trust him? Civilisation and barbarity remain balanced on a knife-edge until the villages decide their only certainly is in escape....
