The name RJC stands for 'Reggaqe, Jazz and Contemporary' - three of the dance styles that form the backbone of the company. The Dancical evokes the life of choreographer and dancer De-Napoli Clarke. Seemingly destined for a life as a professional footballer, De-Napoli turned his back on the beautiful game in order to pursue his passion for dance, only to be stopped in his tracks when a vicious assault left him with a broken neck. Against all odds, he made an amazing recovery. Di Napolis colourful life is the inspiration for The Dancical charting the highs and lows of his life with charisma, sensitivity and joy.
