William Forsythe is recognised as one of the world's foremost contemporary choreographers. His work is best known for reorientating the practice of ballet from its identification with classical repertoire to a dynamic 21st century art form. William Forsythe’s You Made Me a Monster is a compelling and provocative installation performance that places dance and spoken word within a stunning visual and sonic environment. In this highly personal work chronicling a body besieged by cancer, the audience and performers are placed together on the main stage, which is covered with a jungle of skeletal structures. These anatomically impossible skeletons provide shapes and shadows that are interpreted by three dancers as a basis for their performance. Each night there will be three 50-minute performances scheduled every hour, starting at 7pm. Please note that this performance takes place in an installation environment, which may not be suitable for patrons requiring special access. Please check with Ticket Office when booking.
