A Love Supreme is regularly voted one of the best jazz records of all time. John Coltrane's masterpiece is re-envisioned in a complete live performance, co-initiated by former Straight No Chaser publisher Paul Bradshaw with assistance from PRS for Music Foundation. Arrangements by master flautist Rowland Sutherland incorporate instrumentation from different global, spiritual and cultural traditions. Jazz Warrior Orphy Robinson is the project's musical director, leading a stellar, 14-strong ensemble of UK musicians including Steve Williamson, Ade Egun Crispin Robinson, Nikki Yeoh, Ansuman Biswas and Shabaka Hutchings. A Love Supreme has been placed 47th on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 best albums. It has influenced countless musicians and artists from Frank Zappa to Jimi Hendrix and to this day, 50 years since it was recorded, is still considered essential listening, inviting the listener, in John Coltrane's words, to experience 'Elation, Elegance, Exaltation'.
