Details
Among the greatest living pianists. One of today’s most distinguished artists, Mitsuko Uchida presents a programme from the very heart of the piano repertoire. Celebrated for her interpretations of the Viennese classics, she features Beethoven’s two-movement Sonata Op.90, an intense piece that traces a path from conflict to tranquillity. She continues with Schumann’s whimsical cycle Davidsbündlertänze which shows the composer at his most effervescent and poetic. The second half is devoted to Chopin. Uchida’s combination of fire, subtlety, charisma and intellect make her an ideal interpreter for this much-loved music.
