Vaachikam is a unique new work in which the rich gestural language of the classical Bharatanatyam dance form is combined with Ghazal, a well known style of singing that originates from North India and Pakistan, which has been popularised all over the world. The performance is a dynamic and highly expressive solo dance piece performed and choreographed by Nina Rajarani, with input from Pushkala Gopal and live music accompaniment.
