Details

Internationally acclaimed oboeist Imogen Triner has toured all over Scandinavia, America and Japan as well as performing in major London venues and in festivals throughout the UK. The central composition of the recital is Britten's Temporal Variations, a favourite in the oboe repertoire as it allows a number of techniques to be showcased. Written at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War it may be about the inexorable slide to total war and has been described as ?a mixture of menace and gay abandon, beauty and the grotesque, seriousness and slapstick humour' (Eric Roseberry).
