Join us for an ambient evening in The Supper Room at Brunton Theatre. We start the evening with a delectable one course supper followed by a delightful programme of classical music from The Edinburgh Quartet. The interesting and varied programme of music includes Mozart’s glorious c major quartet named Dissonance, Shostakovitch’s dark and powerful eighth quartet dedicated to the memory of the victims of fascism, three delightful idylls by English composer Frank Bridge and Beethoven’s dramatic c minor quartet Opus 18 No4. With its distinguished international profile, the Edinburgh Quartet is Scotland's premier string quartet. Resident at the Ian Tomlin School of Music, Napier University, and at the University of Glasgow, it is one of the UK's longest established university based professional quartets and is Scotland's only full time chamber ensemble.
