With a background in performance art, found-sound electronics, classical composition and family holidays at the Sidmouth Folk Festival, Jim Moray's startlingly original contemporary arrangements of English traditional songs are being showered with accolades and awards. At the age of 21 Jim Moray was hailed as "the greatest leap forward in folk for 30 years" by The Telegraph. His recent album, Low Culture, defines exactly where English traditional music is at in the early 21st century, weaving together traditional songs with modern popular culture.
