Zubop Gambia is a collaboration between London-based worldbeat music group Zubop and the Gambian master musicians Mosi Conde (vocals, kora) and Njega Sohna (djembe). Zubop Gambia performs not only traditional West African pieces, but elements of jazz, township music, pop, reggae, blues and many other styles. Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday early evening Al fresco gigs on the band stage in Theatre Square: ten weeks of upbeat rhythms, smooth grooves and funky fusions from world-ranking contemporary musicians.
