Medsmama and Me

Medsmama was a young woman who grew up in a traditional family amongst cotton, factories, vineyards and orchards, but also in the shadow of fear. When the Armenian Diaspora took place in the early 20th Century, Medsmama lost her entire family, her entire village, heritage and culture. This performance is Medsmama's story incredible courage, compassion, wisdom and love as she shows the importance of looking forward in life and the dangers of not looking back in history.

User Review: 08Jun03: Excellent, I saw the first performance at The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. The use of video, music, and both comtemporary and traditional Armenian dance was really quite unique. An emotionally charged and beautiful piece of dance.
