Details

Founded in Tel Aviv in 2004, and now based in France, Emanuel Gat Dance is renowned for creating visually alluring choreography, brimming with passion and drama. These performances by Emanuel Gat Dance are the first in a series of Sadler’s Wells Debuts - an initiative designed to introduce dance by new choreographers to the UK at a special low price. Co-produced by Sadler’s Wells, Silent Ballet is a brand new work to be performed by the full company, which mixes live and pre-recorded sounds with moments of complete silence. A hit at Sadler’s Wells Sampled in 2007, Winter Voyage is a stunning duet set to Schubert's Winterreise. Shaven haired and dressed in long flowing gowns, dancers Emanuel Gat and Roy Assaf perform with astonishing synchronicity, creating rhythmic, flowing movements that are at once masculine and elegant. Created in 2007, Through the Centre is performed by eight dancers from Emanuel Gat Dance, and set to the frantic electronic acid beats of Squarepusher.
