Resolution! is The Place's annual festival of new works presented by a range of diverse emerging dance-artists. This Floating World - Endlessly sensing each other - the human, the camera and the digital living environment. A journey of building and dismantling in an interactive audiovisual world of organic and etherial atmospheres. A solo performed in an immersive environment of computer generated visuals and sound. Incorporating innovative movement-tracking technology, audiovisuals are controlled by the dancer through movement, like an all-encompassing musical instrument, amplifying her expressivity. Plastisphere - Dancers and musicians make their way through a dark landscape, wading and swimming in plastic. A place where the air you breathe is garbage and all you can see is garbage. Katarse Ensemble produces performances that combine physical theatre, dance and music to reflect contemporary issues, creating a vehicle to approach complicated or little-talked-about topics, bringing these closer to the audience. Plastisphere is a dance-theatre production whose focal point is the accumulation of plastic waste on our plan. Progression - A research and development into sound and the different pressures that it resonates within us. This piece explores aspects of personal control and the way music interferes with it. Duration: 85mins.
