User Review: 11Jan01: Despite their best efforts, the cast failed to inject any emotional reality. [Felicity Hammond] s adequately sung Melisande just couldn t radiate the allure and mystery on which the plot is premised. [Karl Daymond] sounded uncomfortable as Pelleas and [David Gwynne] was a hammy old Arkel. At the end, the audience filed out in pious silence as though it had just endured some intolerably long and tedious church service.
