Two children in the woods - the gingerbread house and a wicked witch. Traditional panto that rarely shows the black and violent side of the original story! Hansel and Gretel are lost in the enchanted woods. It's cold and they are oh so very hungry. But what's this? All of a sudden, as if by magic, they find a beautiful house surrounded by the wonderful smell of fresh cooked gingerbread. It's decorated with icing and all sorts of gorgeous sweeties. As they approach a lovely old lady appears and invites them in for dinner. What lucky children they are! The only trouble is... That old lady is really a wicked and powerful witch and the children ARE the dinner! Will Hansel's brawn and Gretel's brains win the day? Will the wicked witch get her meat and no veg, or will she get a kinder surprise?
