Working with Hardeep Singh Kohli and storytellers from Oldham, Doncaster, the Black Country and London, knives, forks and fingers celebrates a national adventure of storytelling, food and the timeless bond between generations of women that is passed on through food. South India passes many of its traditions from mother to daughter, perhaps most crucially those surrounding food. Food tells stories and, for generations of immigrants, connects heritage with the here and now Knives, forks and fingers is a touring partnership project between Black Country Touring, Cast Doncaster, Oldham Coliseum and Southbank Centre and is supported by Arts Council England and the Esm?e Fairbairn Foundation.
