Simultaneous Shakespeare: The Two Gentlemen of Verona archiveTwo casts. Two cities. One play. Simultaneously. Cambridge and Exeter are playing host to an original and exciting Shakespeare experience. Shakespeare's underperformed comedy 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona' will be staged in both these cities on Saturday November 26th. The performances will bring the curtain up and down at the same time, and allow audiences, actors and crew to feel part of a theatre experience crossing 200 miles. Valentine is in love with Silvia, his close friend Proteus is in love with Julia. until he meets Silvia. Valentine is banished from Silvia's side, leaving the way clear for Proteus, but Julia is closer than he thinks... Showcasing all that is great about Shakespearean comedy: cross-dressing, banishment, love in many forms and two witty fools. This is 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona' simultaneously.
