'A street, a road like any other...' Gaubert delivers a timely representation of a closed Society broken by ignorance and intolerance. With just four actors delivering a powerful and varied performance of a lost 'neighbourhood' independently exploring the undefined characteristic and often confusing relationships with their fellow human beings. With four simple wooden chairs, the simple surroundings ensure all the powers of speech and characters are employed to convey a lost and lonely community and with a strong reliance on the actors skills, in particular their multi rolling, and their illustrative quality of their choreographed movement and use of their chairs.
