The Arrangement archiveTwo sisters from a very religious orthodox family, Rachel is about to get married and Haya is outcast from the family and community, her marriage cancelled. The play impinges on the meaning of Judaism in terms of faith, God and love through the relationship between the two sisters. The Arrangement is about whether to live unhappily but conventionally married or to be free. How are freedom and convention defined? Who is really Jewish, the one who follows the rules and perhaps stops believing in God or one who stops following the rules but has faith and love? The Arrangement won 1st Prize at the Akko Festival in 1990.
