The Fabulist archiveMonday Morning at Tuffin's Department Store, East London. There's trouble in-store - an inept general manager, the frustrated beautician, a furious customer, the sassy trouble-shooter, four individuals with an unlikely connection - Mr Bartlett, or 'The Fabulist'. Even though his details are missing from staff records, he operates from a plush office on the sixth floor. Despite his talent for concealing things, a chain of creepy co-incidences, plus a devastating revelation, guarantees that the enigmatic Mr Bartlett can hide nothing further. The Fabulist is about to face his greatest performance. Fast-paced and hilarious, The Fabulist takes you straight from the lift into a secret world of muzak, mannequins and mayhem! The Fabulist was inspired by a true story the writer heard on the radio where a top Department Store were allegedly employing an actor to take on the role of 'fall guy' when things went wrong. Running time - approx. 1 hour - no interval. Plus the voice of Fenella Fielding
