Set on the Ridges Estate in North Shields, this gritty and true to life play concerns a family who depend largely for their livelihood upon the unpredictable fortunes of the local fishing industry. Da, however, convinced that cash in the hand is what really counts urges his son Davey to follow him in working as a casual filleting fish on the quays.
