Brief Bio: Born in Brooklyn, New York. Harris holds both British and American passports and he has been living in London since 19 5. Several of his full-length plays have been produced in New York City and London, including, SELLING OFF, (John Houseman Theatre, NYC, Directed by Gene Feist); PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY (University of the Streets Theatre, NYC, Directed by Harris), THERE AREN'T ANY (NYC, Directed by Harris); MOSCOW SHADOWS (The New End Theatre, Hampstead, London, Directed by Philip Grout); ELLA'S SECRET (Ethnic Cultural Theatre, Seattle, WA, USA, Directed by Harris). A MINUTE OF SILENCE (Upstairs at the Gatehouse Theatre, London, Directed by Harris). A MINUTE OF SILENCE was selected by the London Borough of Camden to be included as part of 'Deaf Awareness Week in Camden'. A MINUTE OF SILENCE achieved semi-finalist status in the 199 Julie Harris Playwright Award Competition administered by the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild. Also a short play, LUNCH WITH SANDY, was produced at The Machine Room Theatre, London (Directed by Emma Benson). Harris has also completed a book, THE AVOCADO TREE, written as fiction but based on a true story, plus three full-length Screenplays; A DEATHIN BROOKLYN, SELLING OFF and THE SACRED THREAD based on his full-length plays of the same names. A rehearsed reading of Harris' latest play, THE FAMILY JEWELS, was recently presented by Criterion Productions plc at the Criterion Theatre, Piccadilly Circus, London. Harris is the Artistic Director of Mettle Productions, a London theatre company. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild and Actors Equity
