Blackpool venues under threat

Speculation is rife that the Winter Gardens, Blackpool may end up as a shopping centre. Its owner Leisure Parcs is said to consider the conference facilities, which underpin the entire complex financially, to be outdated. If they choose not to refurbish but to build elsewhere the long term future of the {Opera House::v515} and {Pavilion Theatre::v516} could be in doubt.
