A Man For All Seasons
7th Feb 25 :: 5Simply brilliant. Martin Shaw is magnificent as More. He was able to take the audience directly to the centre of the story and delivered a superlative performance. The entire cast were so n their best game and Gary Wilmot as The Common Man was inspired casting. Just superb.

Brilliant show. High energy from start to finish. Well worth seeing.

The Snow Queen
28th Dec 24 :: 2

After watching It's a Wonderful Life by this same company last year, we were really hopeful for The Snow Queen to have the same quality. Unfortunately the story just wasn't there. The performance felt really dragged out with multiple scenes that didn't really add anything. The puppetry was well done, but not of enough quantity to save what was a very bland script.

Sara Pascoe - Live at Christmas with Sara Pascoe

This has to be the worst show ever. They are fraudsters, they claim to be comedians, what a joke! Don't waste your time going to see this bunch.

Hansel and Gretel

This was an absolutely brilliant show. Fantastic in every way. Witty, modern mesmerising, heartwarming, quirky, fabulously acted, and suitable for all ages. I do not give credit easily, but I would thoroughly recommend this Fantastic show. Hats off to everyone involved in this production but of course the stars of the show are the actors. They have so much talent. I was 110% impressed, wishing that I had brought the whole family. It is a real Christmas treat. Don't miss it. Book now!

Anton Du Beke - Christmas with Anton & Friends
26th Nov 24 :: 5

Full house at Alhambra Dunfermline enjoyed a wonderful show featuring four talented dancers who added gliter and a touch of spice a lovely female singer whose name I did not hear, The inimitable Lance Ellington and the seven piece orchestra and of course Anton who was in top form. There was audience participation with the singing, some spectacular dancing and the whole performance appeared spontaneous despite being well rehearsed. The Twelve days of Christmas was worthy of the best of pantomimes and was one of many highlights in a really good nights entertainment

Dick & Angel - Forever Home (avec le nitty gritty)
10th Nov 24 :: 2

The Strawbridges are not entertainers, and this becomes clear in their performance. The section describing their personal backgrounds was ineteresting, but the presentation was sloppy - uncropped screenshots and the like - and could have been far more professional. It was verging on dull at times, and we discussed walking out, but persevered as far as the interval. The second 'act' was not an improvement. The two children contributed almost nothing, and the dullness escalated. When the childish 'Generation Game' of audience participation began, we walked out - along with several others. The Strawbridges are an interesting couple, and the Chateau series was fascinating, but the roadshow is just not great entertainment. Stick to what you do best!

Animal Farm - The Sequel (New Wimbledon Theatre, Outer London)

Poorly written, under rehearsed and abysmally and amateurishly delivered. A collection of clichs that didn't deliver anything new to the canon. Avoid.

Il Divo

A good show but the lighting was poor with bright lights flashing across the audience which were too bright and distracting. Also spotlights on performers were not synchronised correctly. Backing music at times overpowered the singers. The show was good but it was only on the last five songs that the quartet seemed to perform at the standard we had been hoping for. Too much plugging of their latest CD etc, more classy to just mention it at the end. Tried flattering the audience too much, made me feel uncomfortable. Could have discouraged people from using their phones and making videos as this was a nuisance and distraction for others in audience. Tickets expensive and small improvements could upgrade the show.

Su Pollard - Still Fully Charged
13th Oct 24 :: 5

Saw Su Pollard in her show 'Still Fully Charged' at the Pavillion Theatre Buxton and it was absolutely brilliant! Su is an absolute STAR! Her singing is fantastic, her personality shines out from the stage, her stories of her 50 years in Showbiz are fascinating and funny and she is an 1000% entertainer. Loved every minute. Thank you Su for a very, very enjoyable night! XX

An Evening of Burlesque
26th Sep 24 :: 1From when the curtain went up , it was as if 6 ex sex workers have knocked up this amateur touring production up - They need to be sued by everyone that goes for FALSE ADVERTISING as the poster conjures up images of a high quality burlesque show - it is nothing like that ! Cheap gags , tatty clothes and old ex sex workers parading around . I know that I will be demanding My Money Back.
