User Links

The UKTW website has been collecting links submitted by users since 1995, however, wit hthe advent of GDPR in May 2018 it was necessary to "clean up" the datbase. An email was sent out to all the email addresses registered as having submitted a link asking if they wanted us to keep it - we were only able to keep those who gave us explicit permission so most of the links were deleted (peoppel's emails had not remained the same over the 23 years!). Whilst this was a shame it was necessary to comply with the new legislation. All links added after 1st May 2018 are compliant with the new legislation.

Jerwood Space
Organisation: The Jerwood Space is a major initiative of the Jerwood Foundation providing excellent facilities for young dance and theatre companies to develop their work at a greatly reduced cost. Housed in the converted buildings of a Victorian school the five Rehearsal Spaces are also available to established professional companies at competitive rates. Five rehearsal spaces offer excellent facilities for professional theatre, dance and music work. They are available to established companies at competitive rates. Further substantial reductions are available to selected young, emerging companies. These subsidies vary between 40-85%. We strive to achieve an even balance of established and emerging users to create an exciting and beneficial mix of artists. Applications for the use of the Space at the subsidised rates should be made to the Director.

We include workers in dance, drama, film, music, multi-media, video and the visual arts. Some of us concentrate on performance and presentation, some on running workshops, and some on both. Network members take it in turn to host showcase events at their bases. Two or three groups make presentations about their latest work at each of these meetings. Key artists from outside the London region are increasingly invited to present their work at our showcases . We also welcome educationalists, journalists, venue programmers and funders - anyone interested in our field who could help it to develop.

worcester gilbert and sullivan society
Organisation: Swan Theatre, The Moors Worcester www.worcesterlive.co.uk The Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society is delighted to return to The Swan Theatre this autumn with a traditional, yet fun-filled production of The Gondoliers. The impoverished Duke and Duchess of Plaza-Toro come to Venice in search of the heir to the throne of Barataria, inconveniently mislaid at birth and betrothed to their daughter. The most likely candidates are two handsome gondoliers, far more interested in parties than politics and, what's more, just married! It takes the help of the nursemaid to unravel the knots in this particularly twisty tale. With a principal cast of many award-winning vocalists and a very strong chorus this is a musical and visual feast not to be missed.
