What a lovely sight a full theatre is, and how great that so many people had such a good time ... this show really did give a lot of people a lot of pleasure. It really is quite a spectacular and although the songs are not those from the film, the sentiments, story and quite a few of the nun's characteristics are so you wont feel at all cheated and Eddie's double transformation will have you laughing (and scratching your head) for a while!
If you really want to see this show you'll have a hoot and will love it .... As to me, well, it left me a little flat. The songs, whilst clever, failed to really make me move and the acting between songs was a little ham for my taste - pointing the comedy pauses to quite that extent is a little insulting to your audience (finger pointed at Director not cast).
Some fine moments let down by an overall flat production ...
