The Thinking Drinkers Guide to Alcohol
A spirited show at The Arts, one night only (and a bad head the next day?!)
Ben McFarland and Tom Sandham serve up a fun show and six super-premium spirits to their audience in this show which premiered to great acclaim in Edinburgh. Tom and Ben reveal how the much drink has, contrary to popular belief, oiled the wheels of civilisation and invigorated the minds of history’s greatest figures including Dinosaurs, Jesus Christ, Vincent Van Gogh, Ernest Hemingway and Winston Churchill.
The founders of www.dwink.com will lead you gently, and amusingly, down the path to ‘spiritual enlightenment’ while proving that, contrary to received wisdom, answers to a lot of life's most searching questions can be discovered at the bottom of a glass. Regardless of whether you’re an adventurous imbiber or a disbelieving drinker, you need to let this amusing, illuminating and entirely inimitable experience into your liquid life……a life that, quite frankly, is far too short to drink badly.
McFarland, twice named 'Beer Writer of the Year', said: "Our aim is to empower audience with a more enlightened appreciation of alcohol in all its finest forms. There'll be laughing and tomfoolery-laden tastings, friendships will be formed, romances will be sparked, imaginations will be inflamed and inhibitions will be shown the door. Oh ... and did we mention the free drinks?"
