A Night with Priya Pawar - T1892148669Internationally renowned [Priya Pawar] is a leading exponent of the Northern Indian Classical dance form, kathak and odissi folk dance. This evening Priya will perform pieces that show-off the range of her dance expertise. First, Priya will be performing her famous 'Kathak-Flamenco' accompanied by the eminent [Rosandra Doling]. To begin, each dancer will establish the classic Indian and Spanish dance forms separately before fusing the two forms through fluid movements and uplifting beats. The second part will be 'The Flute', a devised dance-drama piece, based on the epic Dhagavad Gita and featuring live musicians. The performance will be preceded by a short showcase by young people from Brentford School for Girls, who have been developing kathak dance skills during an intensive project with Priya since the New Year. | |
